The Intercollegiate Pokemon League

Become Legendary.

New Season and Managment

I deeply apologize for the sever lack of activity. It seems life and other Pokémon events took priority over this league. I'm sure it is no surprise that there are other start up collegiate leagues and ideas circling around the internet.

The goal of this league is to bring college Pokémon clubs together on the internet to compete in semester battling seasons just like if we were football/basketball/whatever else players. Perhaps we would have a live competition sometime down the road. Thank you to all for participating and showing interest.

Unfortunately, I am no longer a college student. I graduated from Penn State in December 2013. But I have left the league in the very capable hands of the current Vice President of the Penn State Pokémon Society, Royal Downs (that's not to say I'm gone for good, however). From talking to him I can clearly see there is still interest in this which is beyond amazing.

I have noticed on other various websites that Pokémon players are sort of divided between singles (smogonites and their "offspring") and VGC style (nuggetbridge and their associates). Both groups of people are very nice and I consider myself to be friends with them. So I think in order for this particular league to thrive, we need to decide on a solid ruleset. That way we can attract a solid group of people. Offering both styles in tandem to support the idea of a "team" showcasing their strongest players in respective categories could be one option to look into.

tl;dr. This league is great. Keep it that way. Thanks for being here. More to come.
